About Genteelhome

Rooted in Craft.
Guided by Heart.

Founded in 2013 by Katrina Blanca de Leon, Genteelhome began as a humble workshop in Angeles City, Pampanga.

Our Story

It all began in Angeles City, Pampanga, where designer Katrina Blanca de Leon reimagined furniture as more than objects—she saw them as living expressions of story and soul.

What started as quiet design explorations soon evolved into Genteelhome, an atelier built on the belief that every home deserves pieces crafted with meaning.

Raised around artisans and inspired by the quiet elegance of Filipino homes, Katrina founded Genteelhome in 2013 with a vision: to bring artistry, intention, and heart back into the process of furnishing a home. What began as a passion project soon grew into a movement—one that married design with deep Filipino roots and respect for slow, thoughtful craftsmanship.

Our Philosophy & Craftsmanship

We believe that furniture is more than just functional—it’s deeply personal.

Each piece is thoughtfully designed to reflect the individuality of its owner while honoring the rich traditions of Filipino artistry.

From solihiya weaving to sustainably sourced wood, our materials are chosen with care, and our process is rooted in collaboration between designer and artisan. From the first sketch to the final polish, every creation is held to the highest standards of quality and detail.

This unwavering commitment has allowed us to grow—from our original atelier in Pampanga to new homes in La Union and Mandaluyong—and represent Filipino craftsmanship on the international stage, all while staying true to our timeless, soulful design philosophy.

"It’s this harmony between designer, artisan, and homeowner —a place where every piece is crafted not only to fit your space, but to reflect your story."

Katrina Blanca de Leon, CEO
